Stay Safe Traffic Control will retain its existing brand, leadership team, and operational structure under the Moeris umbrella. For owner David Chamblee, the partnership provides the necessary capital to scale capabilities and invest in staff training while maintaining the local identity established since the company’s founding in 2016. The North Carolina firm, which operates out of Garner and Angier, employs staff certified by the ATSSA and DOT to manage complex work zone safety requirements.

Moeris Acquires Raleigh-Based Stay Safe Traffic Control
Denver-based roadway safety firm Moeris has acquired North Carolina’s Stay Safe Traffic Control, marking a strategic push to deepen its footprint in the Southeast. The deal adds the Raleigh-area provider to a national platform that currently includes regional specialists in the Rocky Mountains, Pacific Northwest, and Mid-Atlantic.

Moeris CEO Tom Harper emphasized that the acquisition aligns with a broader strategy of acquiring established local companies and integrating them through shared safety systems and resources. This marks the fourth acquisition for Moeris, joining a portfolio that includes Colorado Barricade, Pavement Surface Control, and Richmond Traffic Control. By keeping local management intact, the company aims to balance national-level operational expertise with the relationship-driven service that defines the regional traffic control market.
