Comporium Taps Ribbon Communications for Voice Network Overhaul
Regional provider Comporium has enlisted Ribbon Communications to accelerate the transition of its voice infrastructure to a cloud-based environment. The partnership focuses on replacing legacy TDM systems with advanced IP technology, aiming to boost both service scalability and network efficiency across the provider's broadband and smart-home operations.
Mike Deller, SVP of Engineering and Planning at Comporium, noted that the move reinforces the company’s push toward modern cloud environments. Ribbon, which provides software-defined communications and optical networking, will also deploy its professional services teams to manage the implementation and optimization of the new architecture.
