The expansion targets the high-growth Latin American market, where QR-based mobile payments have already become the standard for everything from food delivery to local transportation. By routing payments through existing local channels, KuCoin Pay enables users to settle transactions using stablecoins and major cryptocurrencies without requiring merchants to overhaul their current point-of-sale systems.

KuCoin Pay Expands QR Payment Integration Across Argentina and Peru
In a strategic push to normalize cryptocurrency for daily retail, KuCoin Pay has integrated its digital asset platform with Argentina’s Transferencias 3.0 network and Peru’s Yape and Plin services. The move allows consumers to bypass crypto-native processes by using familiar QR-based infrastructure for everyday purchases and peer-to-peer transfers.

"Real-world utility will define the next phase of crypto adoption, and payments are where this shift becomes most visible," said Alicia Kao, Managing Director of KuCoin. The company’s architecture is designed to hide the complexity of blockchain transactions behind the scanning interfaces that millions of users already rely on daily. This approach aims to transition digital assets from speculative trading tools into functional components of the regional financial ecosystem, with further localization efforts planned as the service scales across additional high-growth markets.
