Black Girl Wellness Fest Brings Health Advocacy to Chicago

The festival features a diverse lineup of high-profile speakers, including actresses Meagan Good and Ta'Rhonda Jones, alongside Dr. Contessa Metcalf. Programming spans multiple stages, with Good headlining a discussion on self-worth and evolution, while Jones leads sessions focused on mental health and community healing. Dr. Metcalf is slated to join a panel addressing metabolic health and the role of GLP-1 medications, reflecting the event's emphasis on science-backed wellness.

Beyond celebrity appearances, the festival functions as a comprehensive health resource. Attendees can participate in expert-led breakout sessions covering nutrition, hormonal health, and financial wellness, or visit a marketplace showcasing over 50 Black-owned brands. The initiative also reinforces a commitment to long-term health equity through the distribution of scholarships for women pursuing careers in healthcare, a core pillar of the Black Girl Vitamins mission since the brand's 2021 launch. The day concludes with community-focused activations, including movement sessions on the MOVE Stage and a showcase from Chicago’s 40+ Double Dutch Club.
