The expansion centers on the arrival of two new ships: Carnival Festivale in 2027 and Carnival Tropicale in 2028. These vessels will debut brand-specific venues like Emeril’s Coastal Seafood, the Mediterranean-focused Fetaccine, and Le Bistro Musicale, a French-inspired concept tailored exclusively for the Festivale. The company also plans to integrate interactive bar experiences such as 'Mix,' where guests can customize their own craft cocktails, and 'The Spark,' a lounge venue designed around live musical performances.

Carnival Cruise Line Unveils Next-Generation Culinary Fleet Expansion
With over 100 million meals served annually, Carnival Cruise Line is betting big on its future dining strategy. The company just announced 'The Next Course,' a sweeping overhaul of its onboard culinary program that introduces specialized restaurant concepts and refined service models to its fleet through 2028.

Beyond new hardware, the cruise line is rolling out fleetwide adjustments to its existing food service. These changes include a revamped Chef’s Table experience, the introduction of 'Bagels @ Sea,' and a new family-friendly menu in the Lido Marketplace. According to Carnival president Christine Duffy, the shift is driven by deep data insights gathered from the six million passengers the line hosts each year. To streamline the guest experience, the company is also implementing mobile-first ordering for coffee and an express dining option in main dining rooms to reduce wait times during peak hours.
