Lee Greenwood to Lead Independence Eve Celebration in Washington
As the nation nears its 250th anniversary, Lee Greenwood will take center stage at the Washington Hilton on July 3. The singer is set to receive the All-American Icon Award and perform his signature anthem, "God Bless the U.S.A.," during the Countdown 250 Ball, an event marking the eve of Independence Day.
Beyond the performance, the evening includes a diverse slate of recipients and guests, among them Elizabeth Dole, Tony Orlando, and Captain Luis Avila. The festivities culminate at midnight with the "1,000 Bells of Freedom" ceremony and the unveiling of America’s Freedom Bell.
