Great American Beer Festival Shifts to Outdoor Venue for 2026

The Great American Beer Festival is trading convention halls for the open air. The Brewers Association announced that its 2026 flagship event will move to the Levitt Pavilion in Denver, running October 10–11, with a renewed focus on direct interactions between craft brewers and their audience.

Since its inception in 1982, the festival has served as the definitive showcase for American craft beer. This year, organizers are implementing a significant layout overhaul designed to place brewers at the center of the experience, ensuring most pours are served directly by the creators themselves. The outdoor setting will host live entertainment, food trucks, and traditional stein-hoisting competitions throughout the weekend sessions.

Ticket pricing has been adjusted to increase accessibility, with single-day passes starting at $60. For those seeking a more curated experience, the PAIRED program returns, featuring small bites from nationally recognized chefs matched with specific brews for $159. The event also hosts the annual GABF Competition, with the awards ceremony held on the festival floor during the Sunday session. Attendees must be 21 or older, and organizers encourage the use of public transit or designated shuttle services.
