Operating under the new name since January 19, 2026, the facility remains at its established location at 18160 Gulf Freeway in Friendswood, Texas. The rebranding preserves the existing staff, repair capabilities, and community ties while aligning the shop with the broader operational standards of Group 1 Automotive. The transition does not involve changes to ownership or day-to-day management.

Group 1 Automotive Rebrands Clear Lake Collision Facility
The Sterling McCall Collision Center of Clear Lake has officially transitioned to Group 1 Collision Clear Lake, marking the latest step in a nationwide effort to unify the branding of the Houston-based automotive retailer’s extensive network of dealerships and repair shops across the United States.
General Manager of Lexus Clear Lake, Lyza Postell, noted that the change aims to provide customers with a more recognizable brand identity without disrupting the local service experience. By connecting the Clear Lake site to the company’s national platform, the retailer intends to streamline the repair process for drivers in Webster, League City, and the surrounding Bay Area. The center continues to offer comprehensive body work, paint, and refinishing services as part of a network that now includes 32 collision centers.
