The transition marks a significant shift for the Nashville-based guitar manufacturer, which has undergone a comprehensive internal overhaul during Gueikian’s tenure. Executive Chairman Nat Zilkha credited Gueikian with rebuilding the company’s foundation, noting that the outgoing CEO expressed a desire to move away from daily operations to focus more closely on artist relations and music-oriented projects. To ensure stability, the Board of Directors has initiated a search for a permanent successor.

Gibson CEO Cesar Gueikian to Step Down in Leadership Transition
After thirteen years of shaping the company’s resurgence, Gibson President and CEO Cesar Gueikian will vacate his executive post on July 31, 2026. He plans to pivot toward a strategic advisory role and continue his work as a global artist ambassador, while Chief Commercial Officer Anne Rohosy assumes the interim leadership.

Anne Rohosy, who joined Gibson in 2021, brings over 30 years of experience from global brands including Nike and Levi Strauss & Co. Since becoming Chief Commercial Officer in 2025, she has overseen the company’s global commercial strategy and retail expansion. Her appointment as interim CEO is intended to maintain the momentum of the current product-first strategy championed by Gueikian. Reflecting on the company’s evolution, guitarist Slash praised the outgoing CEO for reintroducing quality and integrity to the brand, specifically highlighting his success in prioritizing the craft of instrument making during a critical period of corporate restructuring.
