Group 1 Automotive Rebrands Greenbelt Honda Dealership

The rebranding effort does not signal a change in ownership, personnel, or day-to-day operations. According to General Manager Tammy Darvish, the dealership will retain its local team while gaining access to the increased resources and standardized service protocols of Group 1 Automotive. The company has operated the site since early 2024, maintaining its focus on sales, parts, and maintenance services for the Prince George’s County area.

Management emphasized that the alignment is intended to foster a more consistent customer experience across the company’s 250-dealership footprint. Beyond the main showroom, the facility’s on-site collision center has also been renamed Group 1 Honda Greenbelt Collision to match the new identity. This change is part of a wider push by the international retailer to simplify its brand architecture, helping consumers recognize and navigate its network of 37 vehicle brands more easily across the U.S. and the U.K.
