Industry leaders will gather at the Shangri-La Bangkok from September 21-24 for the Global Seafood Alliance's Responsible Seafood Summit. The event, co-hosted with the Center for Responsible Seafood, aims to bridge the gap between high-level geopolitical strategy and the technical realities of global aquaculture and wild fisheries production.

Major retail and food service players, including Walmart, Waitrose, and Red Lobster, are confirmed to attend, signaling strong interest in the sector's evolving sustainability landscape. Steven Hart, VP of Market Development at GSA, notes the program is designed to address both the complexities of the current market and the opportunities inherent in shifting trade policies.

The four-day schedule opens with plenary sessions featuring speakers from Vinh Hoan, UMIOS, and the Norwegian Seafood Council. Mid-week sessions shift toward technical deep dives into feed innovation, animal welfare, and fisheries improvement projects, culminating in the annual Responsible Seafood Innovation Awards. The summit concludes with a series of regional industry field trips, offering attendees a firsthand look at Thai processing operations and wholesale outlets. Early bird registration for the event remains open through June 30.
