Novak Djokovic Joins General Atlantic as Strategic Advisor

The partnership signals a tactical shift for General Atlantic, which seeks to deepen its footprint in the health, wellness, and sports sectors. The firm has spent the last two years aggressively expanding its portfolio, acquiring stakes in a football club, a sports stadium, and a media agency. According to CEO remarks, the firm intends to leverage Djokovic’s extensive network to identify new opportunities in the professional tennis ecosystem, which the athlete believes is ripe for structural transformation.

Djokovic brings more than just a famous name to the table; he arrives with a proven track record as an entrepreneur in the wellness space. Since 2023, he has backed the hydration brand Waterdrop, invested in the wearables company Incrediwear, and launched two of his own ventures: the supplement company SILA and the clean snack producer Cob Foods. By embedding himself within General Atlantic’s leadership and portfolio companies, Djokovic transitions from a player on the court to a key influence on the firm’s strategy in the global sports economy.
