Ronald Sargent Transitions to Non-Executive Role at Kroger

While vacating his executive duties, the former Staples chief executive will maintain his presence on the board, transitioning into a non-executive role to continue his oversight of the company.

Ronald Sargent Transitions to Non-Executive Role at Kroger

Sargent has held a seat on the Kroger board since 2006. His tenure at the company recently included a stint as interim chief executive from March 2025 through February 2026, a period during which he also assumed the chairmanship. This shift marks a reduction in his day-to-day corporate involvement while preserving his long-standing institutional influence within the grocery giant.
