Six Finalists Advance in Chambersburg A Cappella Competition

Seventeen musical acts faced a panel of five judges at the Capitol Theatre this week, narrowing the field for the 2026 A Cappella & Unplugged competition. The event, held in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, now moves toward a final showdown where one performer will secure a $500 grand prize.

The finalists emerging from the first round include Jenni Joy, the group Jack's Back, Noah Mellott, Brandon Lee, Lily Snowberger, and the duo Josh & Chris. Noah Mellott enters the final stage with additional momentum, having secured the $100 People's Choice Award during the opening round based on audience votes at the Capitol Theatre.

These six acts will perform on July 18 on the steps of the historic Franklin County Courthouse. The event coincides with the 1864 Ransoming, Burning & Rebirth of Chambersburg, a historical reenactment depicting the town's destruction by Confederate forces during the Civil War. By pairing the musical competition with a commemoration of the town’s recovery, the Franklin County Visitors Bureau aims to celebrate local resilience. Attendees at the July 18 event will determine the grand prize winner through live voting.
