The OGF system addresses the logistical and financial burden of transporting organic-heavy wastewater to off-site treatment plants. By processing effluent on-site, the technology transforms complex waste streams into three distinct grades of output. This ranges from sewer-compliant water that meets municipal discharge standards to high-quality water suitable for industrial applications or, following reverse osmosis, human consumption.

Power Knot Debuts OGF System for On-Site Wastewater Processing
Fremont-based Power Knot LLC has unveiled the OGF organic filter system, a new technology engineered to treat high-concentration organic wastewater directly at the source. By utilizing aerobic digestion and advanced filtration, the system aims to slash disposal costs while enabling facilities to reclaim water for industrial or irrigation use.
When integrated with the company’s existing LFC biodigester, the OGF creates a closed-loop environment where food waste is converted into usable water. According to President Iain Milnes, this combined approach allows facilities to minimize or eliminate fresh water consumption. The system serves as a scalable solution for commercial, industrial, and military clients aiming to reduce their environmental footprint and consolidate waste management into a single, on-site operation.
