Freedom Holding Elevates Valeriy Kim to Chief Financial Officer

Valeriy Kim has been named the new chief financial officer of Freedom Holding, stepping into the role as the company reorganizes its executive leadership team. The 37-year-old veteran of the firm succeeds Evgeny Ler, who will transition into a new capacity as a special adviser to CEO Timur Turlov.

Kim brings a deep history with the organization to his new post, having most recently served as vice president of finance at the holding company and CEO of its subsidiary, Freedom Holding Operations LLP. His tenure includes a four-year stint as CFO of Freedom Finance Global PLC, a role he held from 2020 until this year. Before entering the Freedom ecosystem, Kim refined his financial expertise at Deloitte.

The leadership shift comes with a significant compensation package. Under the terms of his new appointment, Kim will receive an annual base salary of $1.1 million, supplemented by a $1 million cash bonus and additional equity awards. His predecessor, Ler, maintains his ties to the firm by moving into an advisory position directly supporting Turlov.
