The foundation's 2026 cohort features significant representation from San Diego State University with 32 recipients, followed by California State University, Monterey Bay with 21, and California State University, Long Beach with 11. These students will be formally recognized during the annual Scholarship Awards Gala scheduled for November 5 at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa in Anaheim.

Michael Pace, chair of the foundation and general manager of The Archer Hotel in Napa, emphasized that these individuals have already exhibited the leadership potential and resilience required to navigate the complexities of the industry. By funding these degrees, the organization aims to solidify the state's professional standards and ensure a steady influx of skilled managers into the workforce.
