Hisense Pivots to AI-Driven Companions for Global Growth

During the 2026 Global Partner Conference in New York, Hisense CEO Fisher Yu announced a fundamental shift toward an AI-integrated business model. The company aims to evolve its product portfolio from reactive smart devices into proactive companions, utilizing a five-pillar strategy to embed intelligence across its entire value chain.

The transformation centers on the V AI OS, which powers the company’s television lineup to anticipate user intent rather than simply executing commands. Beyond display technology, the strategy encompasses semiconductors, smart energy, and automotive electronics. The ConnectLife platform serves as the operating layer for this ecosystem, managing household tasks like laundry, cooking, and air quality optimization through unified intelligence. This shift reflects a broader commitment to long-term premiumization, supported by the company’s ongoing role as a sponsor for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Industry partners have signaled support for this aggressive technical expansion. Romy Gai, Chief Business Officer at FIFA, highlighted the role of Hisense in providing cutting-edge LED technology and VAR support for global tournaments. Similarly, Haydon Myers of Harvey Norman Australia noted that the company’s sustained investment in innovation and sports partnerships has solidified its position in the premium retail sector. By moving away from standard hardware manufacturing toward a service-first, AI-centric architecture, Hisense intends to deepen its glocalization efforts and secure a larger share of the intelligent home market.
