Turning Pointe Autism Foundation Raises $500,000 for Autism Programs

Held at the Butterfield Country Club in Oak Brook, the gathering served as both a financial boost and a platform for advocacy. While golfers navigated the course, attendees at the Ladies' Brunch & Browse explored goods crafted by participants of the foundation’s programs. The highlight featured a panel with Murphy and LaMantia, who drew parallels between athletic discipline and the community support required for those living with autism. Murphy noted that her own success relied heavily on the sacrifices and encouragement of those around her, a sentiment that mirrors the foundation's mission to foster independence and social engagement.

Executive Director Carrie Provenzale emphasized that the influx of capital is essential to meet rising demands in the Chicagoland area. The foundation honored local contributors during the event, including Gene Hunziker and Ann Collins, who received the Dan Wolf Sr. Award. Looking ahead, the organization is continuing its fundraising through a raffle for a 2026 Ford Bronco Sport Big Bend, with the winner to be drawn at the annual Pumpkin Race on October 24. These proceeds are earmarked for therapeutic and employment-readiness services, which remain the core of the nonprofit's 501(c)(3) mandate.
