Willamette Valley Vineyards Claims Double Win in USA Today Awards

For the third year running, Willamette Valley Vineyards has secured the top spot for Best Wine Tasting Room in the USA TODAY 10Best Readers' Choice Awards. This year, the Oregon-based winery achieved a historic double, as voters also crowned its subscription-based wine club the best in the nation.

The dual honors highlight the winery's focus on immersive hospitality and its unique community-ownership model. The Estate Tasting Room in Salem Hills continues to draw visitors with a combination of panoramic vineyard views, a 65-foot lookout tower, and locally sourced culinary pairings. CEO Mike Osborn attributed the repeat success to the dedication of the winery’s staff, its 27,000 shareholders, and a loyal member base that has helped the brand expand its footprint across Oregon, Washington, and California.

The recognition for the winery's subscription service, Club Willamette, marks a shift in how enthusiasts engage with the brand. By offering 14 membership tiers and a flexible model that allows members to curate their own selections, the program has set a new benchmark for customer-centric wine clubs. This year's competition also underscored Oregon's broader influence on the national stage, with Brooks Wine and Stoller Family Estate securing the sixth and seventh positions, respectively. Founded in 1983 by Jim Bernau, the winery remains committed to sustainable viticulture, managing 1,000 acres under the LIVE and Salmon-Safe certification programs.
