The fundraising effort continues a partnership with the 15/10 Foundation, an organization focused on removing adoption barriers for vulnerable animals. By covering lifelong medical costs and sponsoring free veterinary clinics in underserved regions, the collaboration aims to provide a path to adoption for dogs often overlooked due to severe health issues. Customers can contribute through direct donations in physical shops or via the company’s website, while tracking the progress of sponsored rescues through social media updates.

See's Candies Targets $105,000 Milestone for Shelter Dogs
August 1 marks the universal birthday for shelter animals, and See's Candies is observing the occasion with its fourth annual DOGust campaign. To honor its 105th year in business, the California-based chocolatier has committed to raising $105,000 to fund critical medical and behavioral care for rescue dogs nationwide.

Beyond the financial goals, the brand is rolling out themed merchandise, including a limited-time chocolate-filled Paw Box and branded dog bandanas. Visitors to See's locations throughout August will receive complimentary dog biscuits for their pets, encouraging local participation in the month-long initiative. Pat Egan, president and CEO of See's Candies, described the program as a core tradition that aligns the company’s community values with its long-standing mission of bringing joy to its customers and their companions.
