The Red Cross manages approximately 60,000 disaster responses annually, ranging from localized home fires to large-scale climate events. Through the Mission Leader, Annual Disaster Giving, and Disaster Responder programs, corporate donors ensure the organization can preposition supplies and train volunteers before crises unfold. This year alone, the Red Cross has deployed more than 14,000 volunteers to assist with disasters including super typhoons, wildfires, and flood outbreaks.

Corporate Partners Bolster American Red Cross Disaster Response
With extreme weather events increasing in frequency and severity, the American Red Cross is leaning on a coalition of over 170 corporate partners to maintain its emergency readiness. These organizations provide the essential financial and in-kind resources required to mobilize relief efforts across the United States at a moment’s notice.
Cliff Holtz, president and CEO of the American Red Cross, noted that these partnerships allow the organization to provide immediate relief from the earliest stages of a crisis. Beyond major catastrophes, this support sustains the Home Fire Campaign, which has saved more than 2,690 lives since 2014. As National Preparedness Month highlights the importance of individual planning, the Red Cross continues to emphasize that sustained private-sector funding remains the backbone of its national recovery operations.
