The new lineup, which includes the BL54LM20A, BL54LM20B, and a dedicated USB-C adapter, centers on a dual-processor architecture featuring a 128 MHz Arm Cortex-M33 application processor and a 128 MHz RISC-V coprocessor. With 2 MB of non-volatile memory and 512 KB of RAM, the hardware provides the necessary headroom for complex protocol stacks and larger applications. The BL54LM20A serves as the baseline for high-performance connectivity, while the BL54LM20B integrates Nordic’s Axon NPU, enabling up to 15 times faster on-device inferencing compared to CPU-only processing.

Akron-based connectivity firm Ezurio has unveiled its BL54LM20 series, a new line of pre-certified modules designed to integrate advanced Edge AI capabilities into ultra-low-power IoT devices. By leveraging Nordic Semiconductor's latest SoCs, the series aims to provide developers with a scalable path for deploying machine learning directly on the hardware.
Ezurio designed the modules to be footprint-compatible, allowing engineering teams to transition from standard designs to AI-enabled variants without requiring a board respin or a new cycle of regulatory certification. This modular approach is intended to accelerate time-to-market for applications ranging from predictive maintenance sensors and wearable medical devices to factory automation and smart building controllers. Beta samples are expected to ship in October, with technical documentation and development guides currently available for designers looking to integrate Thread, Matter, and NFC capabilities alongside local AI processing.
