Current recredentialing cycles force providers to submit an average of 17 applications annually, costing roughly $700 in time and labor for data that health plans already hold in disparate systems. By establishing a unified source of truth, CertifyOS intends to eliminate these duplicative workflows. Participating plans will share recredentialing rosters, allowing CertifyOS to manage verification according to NCQA and Medicaid standards. Providers will need to submit their CAQH ID and required information only once through the company’s portal.

The U.S. healthcare system squanders over $2 billion annually on redundant provider verification, a cycle of administrative friction that CertifyOS aims to break with a new National Shared Credentialing Program. Backed by industry giants UnitedHealthcare, Cigna Healthcare, and Centene, the initiative launches in fall 2026 to centralize provider data infrastructure.

For Anshul Rathi, CEO of CertifyOS, the program represents a necessary correction for an industry long strained by administrative delays. By removing the repetitive verification steps that fuel provider burnout, the company expects to accelerate time-to-network and improve overall access to care. The platform, which has operated since 2021, remains backed by investors including General Catalyst and Upfront Ventures.
