The Copenhagen launch on September 17 marked the entry of the AION UT into the Scandinavian market, managed by Electric Way, the import division of Sulland Group. GAC Expands European Footprint with AION UT Launch
A 4,270 mm electric hatchback designed in Milan is hitting the road in Denmark and Norway. GAC is leveraging local partnerships to anchor its presence in Northern Europe, while simultaneously running public test-drive programs in Austria to court fleet customers and potential buyers ahead of a wider regional rollout.
Engineered for European preferences, the AION UT delivers 430 km of WLTP range and features a 14.6-inch infotainment system with smartphone integration. The vehicle earned a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating for 2026, bolstered by a suite of driver-assistance tools including adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping support. GAC’s infrastructure currently relies on a distributed model, utilizing design talent in Milan, assembly facilities in Austria, and logistics hubs in Rotterdam to support its expanding dealer network.
