Blitzy Secures Cambridge’s Largest Office Lease of 2026
Autonomous software developer Blitzy has finalized a 52,000-square-foot expansion at One Kendall Square, marking the largest office lease signed in Cambridge this year. The deal anchors the three-year-old firm in its founding city, providing enough capacity to support a workforce of over 300 employees by mid-2027.
Brian Elliott, CEO and co-founder, described the decision as a strategic bet on the local AI ecosystem. The company, which specializes in autonomous enterprise software development, currently employs more than 200 people. Bryan Sparkes, a senior managing director at JLL who represented Blitzy in the transaction, noted that AI-focused firms now account for over 60% of new leasing volume in Cambridge, providing a vital spark for a local office market that has struggled for the past six years.
