STL Expands Neuralis Portfolio to Accelerate Hyperscale Data Centers

Hyperscale operators face a tightening squeeze as AI-driven bandwidth demands outpace existing physical infrastructure. To combat these constraints, STL has launched an expanded line of Pre-Terminated Fiber Trunk Assemblies, aiming to eliminate field-installation errors while drastically increasing fiber density within constrained data center pathways.

The new Neuralis portfolio additions range from 48 to 6,912 fibers, providing a scalable solution for both indoor halls and campus-wide interconnects. By utilizing factory-terminated, pre-tested assemblies, operators can bypass the time-consuming and risk-prone splicing processes typical of on-site deployments. The indoor units scale from 48 to 576 fibers in compact diameters as small as 5.8 mm, while the indoor/outdoor variants reach up to 6,912 fibers in a 32 mm outer diameter cable.

Technically, these assemblies leverage STL’s patented IBR rollable ribbon technology, which features color-coded bonded ribbons for faster identification. The cables support multiple connector formats including MMC, MTP/MPO, and LC, available in Base-8 through Base-24 configurations. Dr. Badri Gomatam, CTO of STL, noted that the product line specifically addresses the industry's need for rapid deployment in high-density environments where there is zero margin for installation error. The assemblies are designed to meet strict ANSI/ICEA and UL standards, ensuring reliability for high-performance computing and cloud workloads.
