The DAR America 250! Scholarship program recognizes students maintaining a 3.5 GPA or higher who demonstrate a commitment to national history. Recipients were selected based on their academic focus and essays detailing either the nation’s founding or their personal contributions to community service. The winners include Julia Ciccone of New Jersey, Sam Dinnie of Massachusetts, Jeth Fogg of Colorado, Nixon Gorka of Texas, Owen Nance of North Carolina, Annie Ngo of Texas, Emily Rillie of North Carolina, Michael Rockoff of New York, Ryan Silien of Maryland, and Charlotte Thomas of North Carolina.

For recipients like Sam Dinnie, a PhD candidate at George Washington University focusing on women in the Revolutionary Era, the funding provides essential stability for research and public history initiatives. While this specific scholarship is a one-time initiative tied to the 250th anniversary milestone, the organization maintains a broader commitment to education, typically awarding nearly $250,000 annually through more than 30 other recurring scholarship programs.
