Healthcare software provider symplr has appointed Andrew Langford as its new Chief Financial Officer, tasking the former Zelis executive with overseeing the company's financial strategy as it scales its AI-powered operations platform. Langford steps into the role immediately, succeeding interim CFO Tom Fink.

Langford joins the Houston-based firm with a background in financial leadership, having previously served as an Executive Vice President at Zelis. His career includes nearly a decade at Global Payments, Inc., where he managed complex integrations and growth strategies across the Americas and Europe. At symplr, he will direct financial planning, accounting, treasury, and investor relations, working to balance the company's commitment to AI innovation with its long-term financial discipline.

CEO Venkat Kavarthapu highlighted Langford’s experience in scaling global organizations as a key asset for the company's next phase of development. The firm, which is backed by Clearlake Capital Group and Charlesbank Capital Partners, serves nine out of ten U.S. hospitals. Langford intends to leverage this market position to accelerate momentum in healthcare operations, focusing on tools that reduce administrative complexity and improve care quality.
